Managed another decent
tornado-less chase. A supercell exploded near Clinton, IL around 5 PM,
and would be an easy intercept near Arcola, IL. Getting ahead of it I
could see it was pretty elevated. It stayed this way much of it's
lifetime. Best shot it had was actually directly over the town of
Arcola where I'd prefer it did not drop a tornado. A wall cloud rapidly
condensed and exhibited decent rotation. It continued to cycle back and
forth for another 15 miles, before returning to it's elevated state. It
dropped copious amounts of severe hail all the way to the Indiana
border, where I let it go.
